This beautiful flower box which was made from recycled material was donated to us by the very talented Noel Molloy. Many thanks to Noel for this beautiful gift 😍 which we placed at Quish's SuperValu entrance as a centre piece for all to admire. Looking forward to seeing it flourish 😊
Some pics of this morning's beach clean. To all those who use our beach & back strand please think of others and show some respect. This area is an area of conservation. We were disappointed when we visited the sand dunes 😰😰😰. The amount of bottles and cans that littered the dunes is disgraceful 😔😔😔. To make things worse was the broken glass endangering ourselves, others, dogs etc visiting this area. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD THIS IS NOT A FREE FOR ALL DUMPING AREA, PARTY AREA OR DOG POO AREA 😡😡😡 CLEAN UP YOUR OWN MESS, ONLY YOUR FOOTPRINTS SHOULD BE LEFT ON THE SAND 👣👟👣👞👣👢
Yesterday we visited Ms Hearne & a very enthusiastic and friendly bunch of 6th class pupils in Glór Na Mara to celebrate and acknowledge their recent win in the Our World Irish Aid awards 👏🎉👏🎉👏🎉 Their campaigns involved many people in the community and helped spread awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals. We were delighted to take part in a beach clean with the kids as part of their campaign. Seeing their projects and campaigns during the year and the amount of work put in by all of them, it was a pleasure to give them a truly well deserved surprise & treat. Many thanks to Quish's SuperValu for supplying the beautiful cake. We were presented with a beautiful card which was a very nice gesture from the kids. 👍 We wish Glór Na Mara continued success in their future campaigns.
Make A Stand really starting to take shape....
Dungarvan Tournament We travelled with three teams to Dungarvan AFC for their annual tournament. What a day for football and what a fantastic event this annual event is now becoming. Massive credit must go to Dungarvan AFC and their committee for this wonderful tournament. All three Tramore AFC teams played brilliant exciting football and their were a credit to the club. One of our U9 teams got through to the final against Villa which was a replay of the recent Clover Tournament. Unfortunately the U9's were narrowly beaten again by Villa in a thrilling final and a big thank you to Liam O'Connor of Villa for his kind words to the heartbroken Tramore AFC U9 players after the game. Well done to Darby Sheridan from Tramore AFC who won the the referees choice of U9 player of the tournament. The Tramore AFC U10 team brought home again the Brendan Loftus Memorial Cup for the second year running. This was a huge performance by a really exciting team who won all of their games on the way to a fantastic final where they beat Dungarvan AFC 3-2 in a very exciting game watched by a huge crowd of parents and supporters. A big congratulations to Zak O'Sullivan who was voted the referees choice of the U10 player of the tournament. Thank you to the coaches John Hamilton, Paul Morrissey, Garreth Dillon, Kevin Hanlon and Chris Smyth and to all the parents who traveled to support the teams.
