A thought from William When I pause to think of the words of the Pater Noster, Lord's Prayer, I am always challenged. Forgiveness seems to me to be a word that Jesus took very seriously and taught his followers to do the same. To what extent did Jesus forgive those who crucified him, having whipped and humiliated him, more than we can imagine? "Father forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing" He forgave and asked the Father to forgive them. "Forgive us our sins as we forgive others who sin against us" To what extent can I expect God's forgiveness? Is it to the same extent that I forgive others and that means those who would even crucify us? What a challenge!!
