Dear Residents, Following on from our AGM in June we are excited to announce that the upgrade to our playground will be installed this October! Along with a new play unit we will also have some swings and an additional bench. Included in this post is an image of the play unit and a Google image of the green to show the location (1 = Play Unit 2 & 3 = Swings). The materials used are rustic in nature to blend in with the current playground which will also be freshened up. Installation will take about 3 weeks during which time the area will be closed off. Not only will the new play area provide a safe and fun space for all the members of our community but also brings added value to our estate overall! We look forward to having a community social event to celebrate the opening!
All the best to our leaving cert residents today free dessert in the step if your celebrating.
Best of wishes to all students receiving their leaving cert results today. Good luck 🍀
Lisieux Hall - Planning Update No.6 Dear Residents, In our post on the 3rd.July we advised that An Bord Pleanála had moved out the date for making a decision on ours and The Gallops objection to the proposed development of 52 apartments and 17 houses at Lisieux Hall to late August. The Board made a decision dated last Friday granting Planning for the proposed development. The permission was granted subject to 26 conditions - regrettably but not surprisingly none of these conditions are of significance and don't address the main issue raised by LHRA, namely the lack of on-site car parking spaces (there will only be 92 car park spaces for 69 units). The main reason the Board cited for granted planning for the development was it broadly meets the criteria of the county development plan and its proximity to public transport and good road network. There is no other right of appeal open to LHRA except a judicial review - success is not guaranteed and the only way it can be put forward is if the board erred in some way in making their decision. As judicial reviews can be extremely costly and as it is highly unlikely that the Board's decision would be overturned, LHRA will not be going down this route. In the meantime we will continue to monitor planning applications for further proposed developments that will impact on the estate and its residents. A copy of the Board's decision can be seen here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bw9UwIK21wKIWldZaHY0Z2hkcTY2RXkxSFR3OF9uWlFsRWFV/view?usp=drivesdk Best Regards, LHRA Committee
