Hard luck to our Junior Foursomes team who were beaten 2/1 in the quarter finals by Rathfarnham in Greystones today. Well done to all on getting to this stage of the tournament.
The Intermediate Cup team pictured before they teed off in the quarter final match versus Seapoint in Balbriggan GC today. They had a comprehensive win with two matches winning 7/6 & another 6/5 the remaining two matches which were a/s were called in. They now face either Elm Green or Carton House in Seapoint on Aug 5th in the semi- final.

Dear Early Years Practitioner The DCYA is reviewing the level of provision that is currently available for children under three years of age in Ireland. The under 3s subgroup of the National Early Years Forum have been tasked with gathering data in relation to this provision. This information will then be used to guide recommendations for Budget 2018. The survey should take approximately 5 minutes to complete and all responses are anonymous. Thanks to everyone who visited the station for our annual Open Day yesterday, and special appreciation to our friends in the Dun Laoghaire Coast Guard unit and also to the visiting vintage lifeboats that offered a unique insight in times past. Photo courtesy of Hugh Searle
A fleet of five historic lifeboats will be the backdrop for our annual Open Day this Sunday (11am - 4pm) with plenty of family-friendly activities including tours of our station All-Weather (ALB) and Inshore (ILB) lifeboats, gift shop, Sea Safety displays, station tours, our colleagues from the Dun Laoghaire Coast Guard unit plus our friend Stormy Stan will also be in attendance. If you're coming to see the Volvo Dún Laoghaire Regatta and the @Dun Laoghaire Harbour 200th anniversary celebrations, drop in and say hello!
Cpt Dara Fitzpatrick's family are holding a concert (tickets €25) in memory of the crew of Rescue 116 during the Cootehill festival in Cavan (August 25th). Funds raised go to the RNLI including those raised from the sale of John Blakey's 300 limited edition prints of 'The Piper's Salutation' (€120).
