***WALLET FOUND*** A small brown wallet was found yesterday, Tuesday 15th August, at the bottom of the Howth Road. The wallet contains old black and white photos as well as more recent coloured photos of two boys (as seen above), so it's possible that this belongs to an elderly person who may not be on social media. We are sure this wallet is of some sentimental value to someone, so please like and share and if you think you know someone who might be missing these, get in touch via private message or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Mighty Matthew Charity Cycle 2017 kicks off this Friday 18th August from the Pigeon House on Vernon Avenue. 70 cyclists are making the two-day journey to Sligo in aid of the Matthew Hayes Trust. The trust of was up to help local boy Matthew Hayes who has autism. The team at Together Digital produced the below video that gives an insight into Matthew’s autism and how he and his family cope with this. Now in its third year, those taking part hope to help raise much-needed funds that can ensure Matthew continues to receive the education and support he needs as he enters adulthood. For more information about the cycle, the trust, or if you would like to donate please visit www.matthewhayestrust.org

RunDublin & Clontarf Half Marathon & 5 Mile
**COMPETITION TIME** Tag 2 x friends and Share this post to win a FREE entry to the Dublin Night Run on September 26th. Long straight, FLAT lines make this a potential PB course. JIG SAW medal for all finishers. Places are limited. See video of the course or to enter and secure your spot go to... http://rundublin.com/race/dublin-night-run-park-west-5km10km/
Considering the very positive response to yesterdays post about the medals concerning the shorter distances (Wicklow 10km, Wexford 10km and Clontarf 5 mile) we have put together a combined entry link for all 3 of them together. This will save you having to enter all 3 individually for those distances (mentioned above). It's a TIME saving link that tracks the early birds (where and when applicable). Here is the link below. We'll put this on the various event websites too 🤗 http://www.njuko.net/combined-wicklow_tenkm_wexford_tenkm_clontarf_fivemile/select_competition
Few people have asked if they can get the Trilogy JIG SAW medals by doing the 2 x 10k's and the 5 mile in Clontarf? The answer is YES. Yesterday coincided with the launch of the half marathon series which of course means you'll attend all 3 races and therefore get the 3 x medals. Long story short - if you enter all 3 races in either distance you are on track to get all 3 medals! Hope that clarifies 😃

Clontarf Yacht & Boat Club
The CY&BC cruisers raced to Greystones on Saturday 12 August. A total of 11 cruisers raced - all sizes from Mick Gorman's 20' Sigma 'Carladan' to Declan Keane's 34' Falcon 'Fougere'. Our overseas members Alan and Aideen O'Brien joined the fleet sailing their Leisure 27 'Cameo'. Leaving with the tide and a following wind a most enjoyable voyage was anticipated. Speeds of 6 and 7 knots recorded through Dalkey Sound and the sailors who chose that route surely thought the race was in the bag! But some, going between Muglins and Dalkey Islands were on a better line for the finish - keeping well clear of Bray Head. The wind died and only four patient participants finished under sail - Freyja was first across the line followed ten minutes later by Carladan, then Sapphire and finally Cameo. The smallest boat wins again! Well done Mick Gorman - a worthy winner of the 'Bluebird Cup'. Thanks to Brian Coghlan who took a great photo from the Poolbeg Lighthouse.
Looking forward to seeing you all in Clontarf
